The soultion: Wrap celery tightly in aluminum foil before refrigerating to keep it fresher longer. Celery produces ethylene gas, which causes it to spoil faster, and the aluminum foil will allow the ethylene to escape. A plastic bag, on the other hand, will trap the gas in.
Wrapped tightly in aluminum foil, celery will usually stay crunchy, colorful and fresh for at least 2 weeks in the fridge.
