Quick Tip: Refrigerate Opened Red Wine

If you enjoy a glass of red wine with dinner, you’ve probably had to deal with storing an unfinished bottle on at least a few occasions.

The solution? Stash the leftover red wine in the fridge. The cooler temperature of the refrigerator will help slow down the oxidation process and keep the red wine fresher longer.

•      An opened bottle of red wine will usually keep well for about 3 to 5 days in the refrigerator (be sure to re-cork it first).

•      About an hour before you’re ready to drink it, take the wine out the fridge to bring it back to room temperature.

•      If you’re unable to finish the wine within a few days, all is not lost. As outlined here, you can also freeze wine for later use in cooking.
